Local Musician Lee Maddison has been trekking up and down some of Britain’s larger Peaks and Mounts all in aid of MvC causes recently. The former mental health nurse from Hartlepool has previously tendered his services as a musician to aid MvC in it’s fundraising, of late, his efforts are arguably more gruelling in his support of the Charity.
Lee has so far(03/2014) scaled 29 summits since the new year and aims to gain some charitable donations to help MvC towards their latest fundraising targets by climbing a massive total of 214 fell peaks this year. Below is Lee’s latest excerpt from check in’s at altitude, we’ll be sure to keep you all posted on his progress throughout the year;
MESSAGE FROM LEE MADDISON (20/02/2014)
Bagged another two Lakeland summits on a gorgeous day’s walking yesterday in my attempt to climb all 214 Wainwrights within this year.
Occasionally, because of the geographical location of a fell, only a single summit may be practical to reach within a circular walk – such was yesterday. Below Latrigg was reached on 6 1/4 mile walk from Keswick, and then I drove to Thirlmere to climb the wonderful High Rigg on a 5 1/4 mile walk. Since New Years Day I’ve reached 29 summits.
Please, please, please help me in raising as much money as I can throughout 2014 for Hartlepool based charity MusicVCancer by donating at www.justgiving.com/Lee-Maddison3
